In 2004 and 2005, Academician Zhuang Hui, along with Professor Si Chongwen, then Director of the Infectious Diseases Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and Professor Weng Xinhua, jointly led the compilation of the "Chinese Hepatitis C Prevention and Treatment Guidelines" and the "Chronic Hepatitis B Prevention and Treatment Guidelines," respectively. These guidelines, as the first in China's field of hepatitis prevention and treatment, ushered in a new era of hepatitis prevention and control in the country. Serving as beacons, these guidelines not only illuminated the path for doctors but also provided hope for patients.
